Humphrey Bacilio, also known as the one and
only "Mr. Solo”, is a true embodiment of
passion. With a career spanning over five
decades, he has made a name for himself as a
soul and blues singer, entertainer, and dancer
extraordinaire.
Born and raised on the island paradise of
Curaçao, he first discovered his love for music
and performing in 1965 as singer in the beat-
band “The Silhouettes”. He quickly made a name for
himself as a talented entertainer, known for his
smooth dance moves and undeniable stage
presence.
In 1969, he ventured to the Netherlands where he
tried his hand in Management at psychiatry and
elderly care, but his true passion for music never
wavered. It wasn't until 1988, when he took part in
the Dutch “The Soundmix Show”, that he truly hit the
big stage and began touring the country, leaving
audiences mesmerised with his powerful voice and
dynamic performances.
