Trevayne, born Troilus Trevayne Gilmore was born in Mississippi but spent most of his life in Lake Charles. La. Trevayne has included his interest in music his entire life. He first discovered his gift in music originally at the age of 7. Coming from a heavily musically gifted family, he found himself at the piano at his grandmother, Emma Dimple Clines, while his cousins and brothers were outside playing. Although that was the start of his musical journey, he did not lean into it until the age of 12 in Lake Charles, La where he would soon discover music would be a part of his life forever. Trevayne's signature memory for any school he ever attended was the ability to create Gospel Choirs that did not exist and perform all over the city. Trevayne started out in church. Many of his earliest influences were Kirk Franklin, Yolonda Adams, John P. Kee, just to name a few. Today, his influence includes the sounds of Usher, Anthony Hamilton, HER, Jazmine Sullivan, and Brandy.
