i'm jai. self-taught songwriter and pianist. albuquerque to dallas. i grew up at a piano i wasn't supposed to be good at, in a maronite church that taught me to sing in three languages, in front of people i'd never meet. i wrote my first song in 2010, after my youngest sister died. piano was where i went when there were no words. fifteen years and a thousand services later, i finally have something i'm willing to put my name on.
