Houston-based rapper Prodigyl is Christian hip hop’s rising act. Born Daniel Chakkramakkil to Indian parents in Muscat, Oman, Prodigyl was a child when he immigrated with his family to the United States in 2006. Settling in Houston, Prodigyl became interested in hip-hop around 15 and has been honing his craft ever since. In 2019 he released his first single “Lions’ Den”, followed by his full-length debut, “Identity” and performed for a national conference in Houston. In 2020, he released his breakout EP “Wonderland”. This EP explored his concept of faith and grace in creative ways and also explores the hardships of life such as financial struggles, loss of innocence, and guilty pleasures. He released his first collaboration EP "Holy Water, Vol 1" with renowned CHH artist Xay Hill at the end of 2020, marking another major milestone.
