Ivo played heavy metal and Japanese rock, then classic rock in cover bands, as a drummer, since 2005. In 2008, Plaise started writing original songs in Japanese. Then came Mutus, an instrumental trio. After parting ways, Most Wanted and Das Neves played some gigs, but Ivo wrote songs by himself starting in 2018, with “Transplant”. Later came many singles, and the albums “Privacy for whom?” and “Expectations from a fuckboy”. The songs Ivo writes approach a range of personal events through a critic lens, often sarcastic and acid, in a life marked by shortcomings, especially support while living on the internet and navigating a writing career and a corporate perception that his work as a teacher didn’t fit the standards. Some of the themes are political, the lyrics can allude to some explicit acts, but there’s always an effort to grab the listener’s attention to tell a story not often told – which is, in fact, his.
