Born in Germany to a military family and raised in the United States, J rouge grew up immersed in the rich textures of Motown, blues, jazz, and the foundational years of hip-hop. This melting pot of influences defines his signature style today—a seamless blend of soulful storytelling, rhythmic depth, and timeless musicality. From late '70s roots to modern-day execution, J rouge creates music with soul, for the soul. His music comes from experience, love, loss and the dream of finding that "one". Not one to boast, he enjoys a simple life in a small town with real friends.
