James Biehn is a singer/guitarist/songwriter from Des Moines, Iowa. James began playing guitar at the age of 12 and immediately began playing with other people in various musical situations. In 1997, he recorded his first album with his band The McKenzies, followed by another album in 2000 with the same band. After The McKenzies disbanded in 2001, James played with other bands in short stints and well as becoming an in-demand session guitarist and guitar instructor. In 2015, James released his first solo debut album as a songwriter and bandleader. Over the years, James has opened for such artists as Blues Traveler, Gov't Mule, Big Head & The Monsters, and many others. In addition to his career as a musician, James owns Central Iowa Music Lab, a music instruction studio with 2 locations and over 500 students.
