Jas Jagpal is a Punjabi-Canadian poet, author, and songwriter based in Airdrie, Alberta. He is the author of three books — Journey of a Wave, Reflections of a Soul, and Journey of a Heart — and writes and records under the name Jas Jagpal - Do Taka Punjabi. His songs move between Bollywood-Sufi, ghazal and qawwali, Punjabi folk, and roots Americana, often carrying lyrics that first appeared on the page. The name Do Taka means "two cents" in Punjabi: a small offering, given honestly.
