Hey! I’m Jay Teago, an artist from South Florida. I first discovered music when I began piano lessons at four years old. I also grew up in a musical household, with my parents playing reggae, R&B, and gospel music. These genres, along with jazz, are my musical influences. I began composing my own piano pieces during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later on, I discovered music production, simply starting with GarageBand on my iPhone. My main production influences are Wondagurl, Metroboomin, Dpat, Tyler the Creator, and the Neptunes. Originally, I only wanted to be a producer, but then I began to write and sing on my own production. I am inspired by artists like Bryson Tiller, Brent Faiyaz, Giveon, PartyNextDoor, Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, and Garnett Silk. My sound is a blend of all of these artists. Stay tuned for my journey!
