Singer/songwriter/rapper Joshua Boyd was born in California, 1989. He moved to Portland, OR at 3 years old (original transplant, aroooo) and began making hip-hop in 2005, recording his first album at 15 years old. He would then go on to continue making hiphop with local group 010, (also stylized "Ohoneoh") before disbanding to continue making hiphop on his own under the name JAYDA; albums include HATEJAYDA (2014), BEACHES (2016), JAYDA'S DEAD (2016), DONE WITH 27 (2017), and White Sheets (2019). In 2014, he and friends started a band, The Von Howlers, specializing in a blend of blues/punk/surf/thrash rock. The Von Howlers disbanded in 2020 during the height of COVID. Around this same time, Joshua began recording with his roommate, Joshua Hogeland, (AKA "Low" or "Ghxst Valley"), titling their project CNCR. This new effort featured Joshua playing guitar for the first time, and is a blend of no-wave/lo-fi/folk-punk. Joshua currently lives in Portland with his family. Howls.
