GRAVEKEY is an alternative rock band local to Grand Island, Nebraska. The band started performing the summer of 2022. Their sound is heavily influenced by bands like Paramore, Flyleaf, and Evanescence. They just released their first EP "Madness" in March of 2023 and are currently working on writing and recording a full length album for 2024. Fronted by powerhouse singer/songwriter Jessi Day, GRAVEKEY's music always has a meaningful message behind it. Jessi co-founded the group under their previous name, Novocaine, with lead guitarist Carlos Vargas- both of which hold their Bachelors in Music Education. Vargas' impressive guitar skills drive the group with other influences from bands like Halestorm and Metallica with a Latin American twist. Their bassist Morgan Kounovsky has been performing regularly for 20 years and joined the group in October of 2022. Their newest member is their drummer, Jared Rechsteiner, who's been playing for about 16 years.
