They call me JohnG. I'm a singer songwriter based in Denver. Born and raised the youngest of 6 kids in Ohio before chasing a girl to Boulder in 94. I didn't catch her but found Paradise in CO. Growing up in the 70s my ears were filled with the classic singer songwriters of the era: Jim Croce, Paul Simon, The Beach Boys, Steely Dan, The Eagles, Jackson Brown, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Carol King, Harry Chapin, and of course The Beatles, The Band and Bob Dylan. I flunked out of college the first time listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane at the BGSU Library. In 89' I found the Grateful Dead, flunked out a couple more times and eventually landed in Boulder where I learned about John Prine and what I call the Texas poets (Clark, Van Zandt, Earle, Lovett and Keen) I'd learned to sing a few of those cowboy songs eventually found myself playing open mic nights and wanting to write my own songs. Leading up to my first single in Sept of 2023. Here We Go. Music is Magic!
