John R. Harris is an Arkansas storyteller whose music is rooted in faith, family, love, loss, redemption, and the experiences of an ordinary life lived through extraordinary seasons. Drawing inspiration from the honest storytelling tradition of country music, Harris writes from personal experience. His songs aren't invented characters and borrowed emotions—they come from the people he loves, the roads he's traveled, the mistakes he's made, and the grace he's experienced along the way. After more than two decades in law enforcement, Harris has accumulated plenty of stories, but the ones closest to home are the ones he most wants to tell. Songs like “Thank You for This Life” chronicle a marriage that survived brokenness and found restoration through faith, while “Still With Me” explores the grief of losing his father and the realization that those we love continue to shape us long after they're gone. At the heart of his music is the truth found in Genesis 50:20.
