“I found myself lost in his highly addictive single “Everything” and its glitzy, blood-pumping formulae” Indie Current “it feels a pretty appropriate time to wax lyrical about the funk-inflected efforts of Berlin-based artiste, Jim Hickey” Dots and Dashes “the track pushes the boundaries of what you expect to hear from contemporary electronic music” Bitter Sweet Symphonies Jim Hickey grew up on the island of Malta and spent his early summers in L.A. Berlin became his home after passing through while on tour and its jagged music and art scenes became his biggest influences after a hazy mediterranean youth. A passion for electronic music and songwriting forms his songs, while a collection of old synths and drum machines feeds the pulse of his sound. After self-releasing a number of singles and remixes, he spent the past few years producing acts in Berlin before releasing “Love In Rewind” in May 2020, the first in a series of singles and EPs planned for 2020.
