John Noir Smith is an up-and-coming Norwegian artist who dabbles into highly various genres (everything from lofi hip hop to folk pop, jazz, ambient and post-punk), taking inspiration from the likes of Lou Reed, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, David Bowie, Andrew Huang, Bjørn Tomren and many many more. His lifestyle as a minimalist vegetarian Buddhist do lend inspiration to a lot of his lyrics.

His song Ambivalent was featured at Festspillene i Bergen in June of 2020.
