Born in Lexington Kentucky with deep musical heritage & influences from his upbringing in the church. Joshua began to show proficiency with musical instruments at the age of 6 years old. Before his legs were even long enough to reach pedals on the drums , piano or organ. In the tradition of his church “Northside Community Church of God” molding many young promising musicians in the city to utilize their talent for Christ. The older musicians would accompany Joshua so he would be able to play. Josh became a local favorite playing at surrounding churches , conventions and eventually colleges he would attend Kentucky State University and the University of Louisville performing with the Jazz and Gospel ensembles. Northside Community is a nod to bold yet humble beginnings where the freedom to practice and hone his craft were encouraged. All the positive elements and powerful fat chords from the church infused into a genre that makes you wanna move your feet.
