joy mcAlister has been in love with music for her entire life. growing up in a musical household, there are many home videos of her dancing and singing as soon as she could walk and talk. her interest in creating music first blossomed while taking ballet lessons at the age of four. she loved how it made her feel, how she could express so much through her body; she wanted to help others feel the freedom to do the same. by the time she was ten, joy had picked up her first instrument - the trumpet - and took to it like a fish in water. voice lessons soon followed. she began singing and eventually composing her own songs with friends, in school, and professionally. it is from this love for music & composition, and her deep love & reverence for God, that her debut, Settle In, came forth. joy currently resides in Texas with her husband, Brandon, and their two cats, Clementine & Nori. her favorite song is the next one. she is looking forward to eternity.
