J-Ree$e was born Joshua Reese in Beaumont Texas. He grew up hanging with friends chasing women and money doing anything teenagers were doing.he liked to listen to Z-Ro, Slimthug, 2Pac Etc.he started writing at the age of 14 but always did a freestyle over beats. he didn't take it seriously until 2004 where he recorded a few songs Tell Me with Lil Sid. His solo album "Everday Living" Launched in 2006 with hits like Rain, Hardtimes, Eyes Open, and many more@008 J-Ree$e And Md1500 dropped Rize in 2008, 2009 Rize 2 Still On The Rise was Released and impacted the city by surprise. In 2009 at age 23, J-Ree$e went to prison for two years for a control substance/ecstasy case. Upon his release in 2011, he jump-started his rap career with a mixtape called Day To Day Living, released in August of that year.
