My name is Kenny Sweet and I’m a USMC Veteran. I’m 28 years old. I started singing at a very young age. Age 12 I picked up the guitar. The inspiration for guitar came from artists such as Slash (Guns N Roses), Angus Young (AC/DC) and Steve Vai of (at the time Whitesnake) I wanted to play in a rock band! I loved the sound of a distorted guitar and all the crazy performances those rockstars gave their fans. The shredding solos, the iconic riffs. I want to do that! (Minus all the drugs and long hair.) When I was 16 I was blessed with the opportunity to play rhythm and backup vocals in the youth group band for my church. I furthered my musical influences through artists such as David Crowder Band, Mercy Me and Lincoln Brewster. Their love for God, fans, families and for what they do is astounding. I want to keep that in my heart and my music. It not only sounds amazing, it changes lives. Aside from those variational genre inspirations, my heart and soul remained country.
