Cody Alexander Paul is a composer of acoustic, electronic, and electroacoustic music, and a music composition doctoral candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. An eclectic composer, Cody writes music in an ever-widening range of musical styles, with influences ranging from the world of western art music, to jazz, to metal, psychedelic rock, EDM, and everything in-between. He started playing electric guitar at age 12, and writing music at 16. After graduating high school with several music scholarships, he earned his bachelor's degree in music from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. He continued to earn his master's degree in music composition from Syracuse University. He is currently residing in upstate New York, actively working on his dissertation for his doctorate in music composition, and writing new music.
