Lacey Dara is a singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas with a genre-defying sound taking inspiration from a variety of styles including country, pop, R&B, rock, and latin. Dara’s creative multifaceted storytelling conveys raw emotion and vulnerability in a heartfelt and relatable way, reminiscent of her formative influences, country crossover icons Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Maren Morris, and Kacey Musgraves. According to family lore, Lacey Dara was singing and dancing before she could even speak coherently. At five years old, she learned to play guitar. In the third grade, she began singing in choir, and at ten years old, she learned to play piano. In high school, she was classically trained as a vocalist for four years and frequently performed in a vocal jazz ensemble. She currently performs in an all-female collegiate a cappella group at Texas A&M University in College Station, which she will be graduating from in May.
