German music producer and vocalist Lara Tahm debuts with her first single „Shine“, recorded at the University of Helsinki Music Research Laboratory. „Shine“ is an indie-pop track which was created during the darkest winter days in Helsinki. The artist’s surname term derives from the Estonian word for ‚soot‘. It describes a fine-grained, black-coloured substance consisting mainly of carbon, formed by incomplete combustion of organic substances. Tahm is deeply connected towards Estonia and Finland, as she frequently visited both countries and lived in Tallinn in 2018/19 and in Helsinki in 2023/2024. Tahm is currently based in Munich.
