Growing up in Dublin, Ireland, Laura was classically trained in piano from the age of five, but it wasn’t until her teenage years that she truly understood its power. Inspired as a young teen by Debussy and Ludovico Einaudi, Laura turned to composition as a way to express emotions she couldn’t put into words. That passion led her to study Music Performance, and obtain a degree in Music Education, where she studied under Dr. Róisín Blunnie and Dr. Seán Doherty in Dublin City University discovering a love for harmony and orchestral composition. After years of teaching piano, improvisation, and composition, Laura now lives in Barcelona Catalunya, continuing her journey as both a teacher and composer—trying to tap back into the raw creativity that first drew her to music.
