LeRoy began playing the guitar when at 13, a junk man picked him up hitchhiking on U. S. 1 in New Smyrna Beach Florida. The junk man said, “You look like one of them boys, wanna play ‘lectric guitar.” He replied that he might like to get an acoustic, so he wouldn’t have to get an amplifier also. He came back a week later and said, “I got yer git tar boy.” He went to his shop with my lawn mowing money and six bucks later was the proud owner of a sunburst Sears Silvertone acoustic guitar. LeRoy holds a bachelor’s degree in guitar from the Berklee School of Music with honors and leads the Las Vegas 10-piece band, The Spectators.
