Raised in the United States and Colombia and from a family of musicians steeped in Andean music, Latin jazz, and boleros. My artistic process starts with my piano or my guitar and my heart, and then I build on those simple elements to create music that is true to who I am and expresses my whole being. As a result of my musical process as a singer, a composer, a producer, and a piano and guitar player, I hope to convey the authenticity of a feeling and connect with my listeners on a deep emotional level. I am inspired by the harmonic richness of jazz and R&B to Latin American rhythms. I love Chet Baker’s use of his voice and trumpet to express emotion and Jorja Smith’s heartfelt lyrics and the way she combines different genres. The beats and melodies of contemporary Latin American artists Feid and Danny Ocean also inspire me. Anomaly’s Electro Jazz and Nils Frahm’s experimental piano music influence me to combine different musical elements with creative production techniques.
