Born and raised in the sunny city of Durban in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Luyanda Karabo Pearl Mazibuko (aka Luyanda) is an R&B singer, songwriter, producer and composer. She is also a voice over artist in training. She started singing at the tender age of 4 and her passion for music stems from the powerful female musicians she would hear during her upbringing, such as Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and Beyoncé. She matriculated in 2017 and decided to study music performance at AFDA. It was here where she discovered her love for producing/sound engineering and refined her song-writing ability. Luyanda aims to be a part of the many talented young female musicians in South Africa and contribute to the upliftment of R&B in the country. She also wants to collaborate with other young musicians, such as Elaine, Joda Kgosi and Langa Mavuso. Her debut EP, Metamorphosis, will be released in March 2021.
