Maggie is an incredibly talented, up and coming singer/songwriter based in York. Since starting her music journey at age 10, she has been described as ‘different and pure’; ‘talented beyond her years’; and from Leon Haynes (Sony A&R) ‘a serious artist’. After writing her first song at the age of 10, she fell head-over-heels in love with music and hasn’t stopped writing and performing since. With powerful and evocative lyrics, she mixes orchestral instruments in a contemporary style continually striving to connect to her audience on an emotional level. Influenced by artists such as Birdy, Sleeping at Last and Freya Ridings, there is a sincerity and authenticity to her songwriting which can be characterised as melancholic pop.
