Marc West is a UK composer, writer, musician and music director with over 35 years in the music industry. His work synthesises alternative rock with electronic music, a combination he has pursued throughout that time as a guitarist, keyboard and synth player, percussionist and vocalist. His earlier career includes Anglo-Canadian band The Pleasure Toys, who reached number 2 in the Canadian charts in 1987, British mod pop band Squire, and electronic blues band Supergloo. In 2026 Marc founded The Fuzztronics, a UK progressive electronic guitar group. Their debut album, Dark Shade Light, was released on 2nd October 2026. It is a ten-track concept album in three acts that follows the shape of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey, draws on Carl Jung's idea of the shadow, and is rooted in his own experience. The sound pairs catchy, laid-back vocals with fuzz guitar and synths.
