Matt Strout is a one-man alternative rock machine with a lifelong love of melody, distortion, and honest songwriting. Originally from New York and now based in Connecticut, he’s been writing, recording, and performing since high school in 1995. Over the years, he’s played in a rotating cast of bands and dabbled in solo material—but for the first time, he’s bringing it all together under one fully realized project: a full-band sound crafted entirely on his own.
Every note, beat, and lyric is 100% Matt—he wrote the songs, played every instrument, and handled the entire production process from recording to mastering. The result is a raw yet polished collection of tracks that nod to the golden era of ’90s and early 2000s alt-rock while forging a voice all his own.
Influenced by legends like Weezer and The Beach Boys, Matt’s music blends catchy hooks with emotional weight and just the right amount of fuzz. It’s rock with heart, built by someone chasing the sound in his head.
