Max Overdrive 1986 has been running out of Melbourne, Florida since 2018. Twelve releases, most of them through RetroSynth Records and its vinyl arm Lazersteel.
The sound sits on the harder edge of outrun. Night-drive basslines, analog leads, and enough grit that two tracks landed on RetroSynth's Horror compilation rather than the sunset playlists. Guest work with DESTRYUR and Wolftron. A live set for Buenos Aires Outrun's Virtuality series in 2021.
Synthwave, Retrowave, Electronic music for the soul.
