Melanin Rich is a powerhouse duo blending R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Dance, and Alternative music into a bold and captivating sound. Composed of the dynamic Dayna Patreace and the fearless Ruthless, their music combines soulful vocals, powerful songwriting, and innovative production, delivered with authenticity and passion. Since meeting in 2015 through a shared love of music, they have evolved from a collective into a formidable partnership built on creativity and support. A defining moment in their career was collaborating with award-winning producer Roy Hamilton III, co-writing “We Can Be” and performing at Toronto City Hall and the Daniel Spectrum Theatre. In 2018, Melanin Rich was born—a name that celebrates their heritage and voices as women of color. Currently, the duo has reconnected with Roy Hamilton III and The Singer's Company, crafting their highly anticipated EP set for release in 2025. Empowering. Unstoppable. Melanin Rich.
