Mida's an Iranian Non-Binary person of colour living on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam people. A singer, actor and playwright, focusing on stories of queer Iranians which are either overlooked or told in voices that aren't their own. They've been performing since the age of 3 and had access to a microphone, a voice recorder, and later on a camcorder. By the time they were 10 they were a full fledged performer who danced, sang, and acted. Realizing soon though that as a queer person they're not allowed to share art and passion with non-family members due to strict and queerphobic laws of Iran, targeting non male performers, and anyone who was not a part of the mainstream. They started a band, Heterochrome, at 18 and sought out acting and vocal training through participating and performing with several underground groups in Iran, and moved to Canada in 2019.
