Reared in the beginning of the digital age, producer Monte Wilco wields an arsenal of subversions to typical genres. Carving out different soundscapes and influence from song to song. One moment your ears are drifting through serene synths and knocking bass-lines with syncopated beats, the next moment you're traversing the crises of his soul over despondent sounds and vocals reminiscent of 90's Hip-Hop, Grunge, Trap and Pop Punk music. He grew up in L.A. with the pulse of music at his fingertips. He loved the Deftones, Metallica and Public Enemy as a child. Making it a point to ruin cassettes by over playing and remixing over top with his own vocals and sounds. He started making music at 6 years old, playing drums and getting piano lessons. After discovering Aphex Twins album "I Care Because You Do" and seeing Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" on MTV he began to dive deeper into the fray that resulted into the sonic slaughter you hear today.
