Moon Trashers is a band created from an alter-ego of the multi instrumentalist, producer/songwriter Marco Rodrigues. Under this alias, Marco Rodrigues crosses the borders between creator, interpreter, musician and dancer, with the same passion and intensity, sparing no efforts in making his compositions much more than just sonic landscapes. With clear and detailed purposes, the music of the Moon Trashers became a substantial part of the illustrated scenery, setting the pace for the performances that the songs were destined in the first place. The debut album “Dystopian Suite for Numeros” is the original soundtrack composed and recorded specifically to be danced in Marina Popova’s latest choreographic work about Evgeny Zamiatyn’s “We”. The songs cover a lot of ground from sinister to hopeful moods, or illustrating mechanized behaviors. Somewhere along rock and electronic genres, this set of songs are the perfect fusion to illustrate alternative and utopic parallel futures.
