London Irish producer and DJ Nerulis is David John Raffaele Laiso (born in London’s east end, Nov 1974). Based on the west coast of Norway, his early influences were broad to say the least - Synth Pop, Dark Wave Acid house, Electro, Hip Hop, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Dub and Opera. As a child he always dreamed of becoming a DJ, and would play at having his own pirate radio station in the loft if his east London home. In 2000 he moved to Ireland becoming involved in the Drum n Bass scene there in Cork City, and frequently returned to London, loosing himself in the underground Psytrance scene. He then moved to Kilkenny to study Fine Art and it was there in 2001 that he bought his first set of turntables and under the pseudonym ‘Axab’, created Kilkenny’s first dedicated Drum n Bass night ‘Switch’ - which ran for a total of 4 years and fostered the talents of many bright young DJ´s. As well as his weekly DnB night, he also played at house party’s and gave vocal performances with a local punk band
