Annick Odom is a Belgian-American multi-instrumentalist. Annick Odom performs a variety of music, ranging from self-written new music to American ballads learned knee-to-knee from elders in the Appalachian region. She mixes folk songs, storytelling, electronics, and newly commissioned works to share the complexities of her home state, tinged with love, sadness, humor, and a bit of homesickness. Her new music collective Linen of Words and folk group Sweet Joe Pye both received support from the Fonds Podiumkunsten to tour in The Netherlands in 2021. Recent performances include the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, Banff Center for the Arts in Canada, Oh My Ears! New Music Festival In Arizona (USA), and New Music on the Point in Vermont (USA). She received degrees in Double Bass Performance and Clarinet Performance from the University of Michigan and a masters degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
