I moved to Nashville in 1994 to perform at Opryland USA in the show Country Music USA. I thought I was going to be the next “Garth”… HAHA YEAH RIGHT! Of course that never happened. Turns out I was a dime a dozen as far as talent trying to break into this cut throat business. I quickly learned that there were these things called “dues” that I hadn’t paid a dime of compared to many others. My dreams changed when I unexpectedly became a father and I went to work. The “manual labor” kind of work. Their mother and I were never married so my “dues” became making sure the child support was always paid and on time. That was more important to me than my own dreams. So I had given up on trying to be an artist. But years later, meeting my current wife and having my other two younger boys, I rediscovered my passion for music in the form of writing and recording In hopes to hear my songs on the radio one day. If not by me, by other established artists.
