our harps upon the willows consists of just me, Brent Burgess, and began as a music project I put together in my dorm room in the early 2000's on a crappy Compaq computer with some cheap audio recording software. It was just me, my guitar, movie clips and other sound bytes, and occasionally some audio from older recorded band tracks. The quality was so bad at times, that there was a vibrato effect that would get added to some of my tracks. Even though my setup was limited, what resulted was a guitar symphony blending with movie and historical audio samples that fit in with the music. Through this I told a story. At the time I was studying a lot of philosophy and theology and was using this project to express things I believe to be true about the world. Today, I’m redoing and renewing this project to share with the world. Technology has evolved tremendously to allow me to share this art with greater quality and artistry.
