FrankNbass. My artist alter ego is the compilation of many years of writing and rewriting music and video I hear and see in my head. I work each day at "Painter Loops Media" which I think of as the world's greatest man cave. I have taken time off from producing music videos to get back to my passion for writing and recording my own songs. The present catalog is actually a 36-song soundtrack for a TV pilot I am also producing here at PLM. There will be more teasers and shorts about that in the future. Having spent many years doing live sound, playing and touring professionally, and producing music videos, my formula goes like this: a bass drum that hits you like a cannonball in the chest, followed by a snare drum that sounds like a firecracker; I weave the bass guitar in between, leaving a lot of room for rhythm guitar; I then mix the vocals and harmonies on top and find places slightly to the right and left for solos, then I use the keyboards and horns as a little spice here and there.
