Her favorite things are the great outdoors and earthy, rootsy, front porch music. Pamela Jo performs original compositions and the music of her youth, including traditional songs from deep in American history with English, Irish, and Scottish roots. Historical songs often have intriguing backgrounds, and Pamela Jo weaves storytelling into her musical performances to connect her audiences with the human context, facts, humor, and tragedy that inform the songs. Pamela Jo’s performances feature her strong vocals accompanied by acoustic instruments including banjo, guitar, mandolin, resonator guitar, and ukulele.
