Velour Cut is a new Malmö-based band blending indie, soul and rock with deep roots in 60s soul and modern groove. Fronted by the powerful and expressive vocals of Dolores, the band brings together a love for raw emotion, tight rhythms and warm, organic soundscapes.
Inspired by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Alabama Shakes, Menahan Street Band, Khruangbin, Amy Winehouse, SAULT, Dojo Cuts and Dina Ögon.
The members come from diverse musical backgrounds, having played in multiple projects and toured, recorded and performed extensively across genres – from jazz and soul to folk and indie rock. What unites them is a shared passion for groove, improvisation and creating music- all while having a laugh.
“Hear Me Leaving” is their first single recorded with Emil at Studio Möllan, Malmö.
