Built Bad is the music produced by Paul McNally, based in Cork City. Paul's musical journey began in Clonmel-based rock bands in the early nineties including Swerve, an indie-rock five-piece. From there, things took a directional chicane, when Paul and four other Clonmel-centric eccentrics formed the intense but short-lived The Miraculous Medals. Like a supernova doomed to implode and destroy itself in a celebration of noise and brightness, this faux-religious themed array of pop-hero caricatures brazened the stages of Clonmel. At University Paul continued to work in Manchester-scene-inspired band Schalke and a Nirvana student cover-band. Later Paul took the folk music red-pill and embraced banjo and Uilleann pipes, before realising that Uilleann pipes players are all perverts. A tolerant public persisted with Paul's banjo jangling for many years until eventually COVID 19 struck.
