Singer-songwriter Pini Gurfil composes soft-rock and jazz-swing music. He writes both in English and in Hebrew. He had previously published two award-winning Hebrew poetry books. His music is melodic and melancholic, emphasizing instrumental solos. The powerful lyrics encompass portrayals of solitude, God, relationships and struggle, with subtle and ironical subtexts. Pini draws some of his inspirations from his occupation as a space engineering professor. His musical style combines influences from classical music, jazz, and progressive rock. He attended courses at Rimon School of Music.
