Artist Statement Void Pusher is an attempt at "acoustic computer music," where I aimed to infuse digital cut-ups with a raw and organic quality. To achieve this, I processed the cut-up sounds through amplifiers while also converting them into super bass and inaudible frequencies. These transformed sounds were played through a space filled with acoustic instruments and electric guitars, resulting in an in tune cacophony of resonating snares, harmonizing drones, and the gentle rattling of shakers and tambourines. My intention with this project was to create an album that, despite being heavily manipulated, would exude a sense of human warmth and soul. All the source sounds were recorded in a studio setting and later edited at home. I recorded in spring, summer, winter and fall. By capturing the recordings in each season, I aimed to capture a broad spectrum of emotions while deliberately avoiding catharsis. I tried to be as open as possible emotionally and not over direct
