With roots in genres ranging from grunge to post rock, Red Coast have emerged from the Tunbridge Wells live music scene with a dark 7-track EP that explores past relations and maturing adolescence. ‘Syrup’, recorded and produced by Leigh Lawson of the Tunbridge Wells Forum, features moody vocals that India cleverly interweaves with hard-hitting riffs on top of a driving rhythm section. The result is reminiscent of (though markedly distinct to) inspirations that include Wolf Alice, October Drift, and Explosions In The Sky, with lead vocals that will send shivers down your spine and a liberal use of loops to create a natural-feeling ambient sound. Formed in 2016, Red Coast have developed their live performance through gigs at a number of iconic venues, supporting acts such as YONAKA, DEAD!, Airways, and Saint Agnes. The 2018 release of ‘9090’, previewed an intensely matured version of the band that are raring to return to live music as soon as they can.
