Red Misery has carried the flag as the frontman for an Indonesian American, San Gabriel Valley based alternative band, SAN TELETONE (circa 2006), which disbanded in 2011 and eventually merged as the self-produced, self recorded project under the moniker Red Misery, previously established in 2004. With songs varying from post punk, dark pop, prog-rock, to avant funk; the self-proclaimed modern day renaissance man identifies with the misfits and the non-marginalised. Growing up as an effeminate boy in a Christian family, a Christian kid in a Muslim country, a lone Asian teenager in Rialto, California, a struggling Indonesian artist in early 00's America... everywhere he went, alienation has been the constant theme. He hopes to alleviate people's affliction and say, 'You are not alone.' The colour red generally indicates 'to stop', hence Red Misery's personal mission is to stop misery with his music, even for just a moment in time. "Jesus, I'm a Sinner..." due winter 2021.
