MoonFace the Mage is the bardic alias of UK based solo-artist Rhod Welsh.
It’s been 20 years since the inception of the MoonFace moniker; kicking off with solo shows in local bars, then releasing the first DIY EP: ‘Folked up Beyond all Recognition’ in 2005 to a welcoming audience.
MoonFace then continued to ride the music-scene-carousel with a UK tour and festival appearances; sharing the stage with the likes of Devendra Banhart, Seth Lakeman and Hayseed Dixie.
Through 2008-2010, the solo artist transformed into a 4-piece band under the guise of ‘MoonFace and the Familiar Shapes.’ Proverbially melting the faces of a growing fan-base in the South Wales music scene.
And now, after 10 years in the wilderness, MoonFace the Mage emerges like a mythical bard returning from a holy quest. With a compendium of tales of godless things and mountain kings which meander across an acoustic soundscape in the shape of a Welsh bloke and an old guitar.

Nice intro...some fun slide going on here. Nice when everything kicks in...really great vocals. Careful with that harmonica...it's trippin me out. Great mix for the style...the tremolo effect shimmers throughout.
