Robin Raps is an Indianapolis-based rapper and author who favors celebratory instrumentals and playful lyricism. He blends anthemic beats, live choir and skillful production on his debut EP, "Blooming Season." With the mentorship of Travis “Kold Kut” Moore — Indy’s don producer, boasting 10 Billboard charting LPs — and Turn One Management, Robin has etched out a relevant niche. Pulling from influences like KC and the Sunshine Band, Robin brings a sonic celebration that floats between trumpet-heavy pop-rap and loose, sample-ridden head bobbers. He plants literate, existential writing in the midst of memorable hooks and irreverent one-liners. His latest work, a 7-song project titled "The Florist," is set to release August 2022. This year, Robin Raps orchestrated a concert series called the “Garden Party” — a recurring, boutique showcase for select regional talent. The third Garden Party show is set to take place in Indianapolis before summer’s end.
