Rocky Sahoo is a keyboardist and producer who draws influence from disco, house, hip hop and trap in order to create various rhythmic and tonal expressions from the keyboard alone. He is also an award-winning visual artist and founder of Saale Art Collective, a south Asian-inspired streetwear clothing line. Rocky was born in Rural Oklahoma, right in the heart of Choctaw Nation. Moving to Texas around 4th grade, he found himself in Indian Dance and Music Classes and publishing art for a local cultural journal. In high school, he performed piano renditions of Bollywood songs for his school talent show, exhibited art across the state through competitions and festivals, and created a mural for a Hindu Temple. Rocky's art evolves around forms of the human condition which are also evoked in his melodies and music. Rocky allows music to be a therapeutic aid to depression, anxiety, and trauma as he ventures to discover new rhythms and sounds.
