Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rosie is an independent artist, who was a slam poet throughout the 2010's. During the pandemic, she transitioned to song-writing. She taught herself how to make beats on GarageBand. Then she created a youtube channel called Rosiepollie to post her self-produced music for the public. Since 2020, she has released three albums: “Hear My Brownness, “The Way I Love Is Unique”, & “Speak To Me Softly,” on YouTube. Using GarageBand for the past six years, she recorded her vocals solely on an iPhone. She had little to no resources, but still strived to create a dreamy, dark, sometimes upbeat, and melancholic sound to reflect her life experiences. After years of recording on her phone, a relative gave her a microphone to enhance the quality of her songs. It allowed her to record and layer her vocals all in one mp3 file. Finally, she has found a way to expand with music.
